2020 – Clear perfect vision

As we enter a new decade, we need more of Jesus to represent Him better to a planet of orphans. We must not think that will happen automatically if we rest upon our own strength, we will fail.  Too many are satisfied with just ‘being Christian’ and do not go on to doing His will.

There is a race to run and our objective is to finish well. In Matthew 20:16 we are reminded that “many are called but few are chosen”. One could put it this way, many begin but few cross the finish line.

When Jesus announced, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it”, we can be sure He did not have a ‘bless me club’ in mind. He has called us to be overcomers, to be different from the world, and act as citizens of heaven who live for eternity.

Our God is a relational God – the word ‘build’ is not about size and organization, it means we as His disciples spend time with Him and He wants to build an intimate relationship with His church to affect those around us. We believe God wants revival which will result in healthy families, godly children serving the Lord with passion. Revival is character transformation where you and I are filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, allowing those around us to experience that fruit.

In this new decade it is no longer an option, we need both purity AND power. We must not pursue one without the other. Throughout history, the kingdom of heaven has been advancing as forceful, Spirit-filled people lay hold of it.

He has called us to be overcomers, to be different from the world, and act as citizens of heaven who live for eternity.
