Fruit that will Last

What a blessing the recent rains have been in our country. As we look forward to God Touching the Nation, we are excited to be able to touch ten major towns in Namibia from 31 March to 10 April.

Jesus said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit — fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name” (John 15:16).

He has handpicked and chosen each one of us to bear fruit and we are trusting for fruit that remains, as we abide in Him. This month is a time of preparation in prayer, in seeking His presence and anointing, to see a great harvest.

This means separating ourselves unto the Lord as Daniel did in Daniel 1:8 when he was in exile in Babylon – he did not satisfy himself with what was offered to him because he knew he had a greater purpose to fulfil.

God wants us to put off any encumbrances, laying aside every weight that will slow us down in running the race. Those who have learned to yield to Jesus, are the ones who will bear lasting fruit.

The Lord wants us during this month, as the army of the Lord, to go through boot camp training, getting ready for Him to use us in supernatural ways, growing in practicing the gifts the Holy Spirit has given to each one of us and serving wherever there is a need.

The great reward is to finish the task well and see fruit that remains. Let us commit ourselves to complete the work He has already prepared for us and be athletes who receive a crown that does not fade away.
